Plants and Agriculture

In the Book of Mormon, much is said about agriculture and many spiritual lessons are taught with the use of plant imagery. Agriculture and the growing of plants in central to life for all people.

What’s the point?

Studying plants and agriculture in the Book of Mormon has three major purposes: (1) we can better understand their civilization as a whole, (2) we can better understand the influence it had on their individual lives, and (3) we can gain perspective into the imagery and symbolism in the Book of Mormon.
